He leaves his loving family, Cary and Cheryl Moen, Norman and Carol Peet, grandchildren, Dana and Wendy Moen, Deric and Amber Moen, Darin Moen, Andrew and Erin Peet, Aaron and Amanda Peet, Josh and April Peet, and 5 great grandchildren with one on the way! |
Through his youth he dreamed of being a cowboy, but life had different plans. Jack Graduated from Alhambra High School, Alhambra, CA. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. After being discharged, he returned home and worked at various jobs. |
Jack became a Master Mason in Alhambra in 1949, following in his father's footsteps. He enjoyed the brotherhood of Masons, receiving the highest honor, the Hiram Award at his Consuelo Lodge in Escondido. He also enjoyed serving his community through the Lions Club. |
Jack returned to school later in life graduating from Pierce College and then the Agricultural Teacher Program at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo where he received his Bachelors and Masters of Ed. He began his teaching career at Escondido High School in 1957 and enjoyed teaching until he retired in 1980. Shortly after retirement he married the love of his life; Martha Moen on January 15, 1983 and enjoyed 14 years of marriage and many travels and cruises with her. His "Honey Girl", Martha was called to heaven on March 21, 1997. He continued to enjoy his kids and grandkids but it wasn't the same without Martha. |
