She is survived by her son, Matt Mayberry and wife Karen; her sister, Doris Duffy; her granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Marika; her niece Kathy Usery and her husband Rick; her nephew, Mike Duffy and wife Kathy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard A. Mayberry

Mrs. Mayberry was born in Chicago, Ill. She grew up in Chicago and attended Senn High School where she ranked third academically in her senior class. She married Leonard A. Mayberry in 1954, and shortly thereafter they moved to Los Angeles to raise their family. Elsie lived in Southern California, including Oceanside and Escondido, until 1997 when she moved to Hanover, N.H. to be near her son's family. She settled in Shelburne, VT in 2001.

Elsie will be remembered as a thoughtful and caring person who could connect in a personal way with everyone she met. She was a devoted wife, a supportive mother and grandmother, and a valued friend to many.
