He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 59 years, Lorraine; his daughter, Donna English; his son, Bill Pugh (Kathleen); 8 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. |
Bill came to California in 1950 courtesy of the U.S. Marine Corp. After proudly serving in Korea, Bill moved his wife to Hawthorne, CA to work for Northop Corp. |
In 1962 he hung up his coat and tie and moved his family to Valley Center, CA to plant and grow citrus trees. He also owned/operated Murphy Sandblasting since 1971. In retirement, he enjoyed time with his grandchildren as well as the racing season at Del Mar. |
Bill was a man of high integrity who always put his family first. He will be missed by all. |
