He leaves behind his wife of 59 years, Florence Lofton; his children, Theda Molina (John), Monica Madrigal (Bill), Robert Lofton, Jr. (Donna), Mark Lofton (Kathy), Geneva Lofton and raised two nieces as daughters, Marilyn Majel and Romelle (Ted) McCauley; he had twenty four grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. |
Robert retired from serving in the Coast Guard for 20 years. |
He served as an original member of the San Luis Rey Indian Water Authority Board for more than 40 years. He was an active member serving his tribal government as a Tribal Chairman and other positions. He was also chairman of the Sherman Indian High school Board and one of the original founders of the Indian Health Council, Inc. |
