Served with Honor - United States Military Veteran
Henry "Hank" Joseph Ramos
February 09, 1943 - October 24, 2009
San Marcos, CA

Graveside Service: immediately after the service October 29, 2009 at San Marcos Cemetery
Mass of Christian Burial: 12:30 p.m. October 29, 2009 at St. Mary Church
Henry was preceded in death by his father, Paul; his mother, Frances; son Hank, Jr., and brothers, Rodney and Robert Ramos. His surviving family: his wife of 46 years, Teresa; his son, Victor (Nicole) and their daughters, Isabella and Hannah; son, Angel and his daughters, Kristen and Andrea; Henry's daughter, Teresa (Charles) Ayash and their children, Vincent, Alexander and Vivienne; Hank, Jr's daughters, Rebecca and Marisa; two brothers, Richard and Frank Ramos; and two sisters, Jeni and Madeline.

Henry loved his country very much. He served in the U.S. Navy and National Guard, fought in the Vietnam War, and served the community as a Deputy Sheriff for 30 years, and Code Enforcement Officer, before his diagnosis of Leukemia. He was presented many times over with awards and accolades for his courage, heroism and tenacity.

Henry fought like the most valiant of soldiers for nearly two years with the dreadful cancer, leukemia. He taught us all how a person is to "never, never, never give up." He still claims victory over the war because of his faith in Christ Jesus. He was brought home Friday evening and was comforted with love by his children and grandchildren before, during, and after his passing.

A reception will follow the graveside service at San Marcos Red Barn on Sycamore at Walnut Grove Park in San Marcos.
