She is survived by her sons, William (Jessie) and Robert D.; and her grandchildren, Brenda Ornellas (Nathan), Linda Berryman, and Robert L. Berryman II (Erica); she has seven great grandchildren, Kaleikaumaka, Alohilani and Nainoa Ornellas, Brandon, Shandee, Alexa and Trista Berryman; and many loving relatives in Arkansas. |
She lived in Monette, Arkansas for a number of years. She married Robert Livingston Berryman in Monette on July 4, 1931. She often laughed about her maiden name being Berry and then she married a Berryman. They were married for over 54 years before he died on December 13, 1985. |
She lived in Detroit Dearborn Heights, and Livonia, Michigan most of her life. She moved to Escondido, CA in 1986 and lived there the remainder of her life. She worked hard at raising two sons and keeping her home comfortable and always opened to her familiy and friends. The aromas from her kitchen could rival that of any gourmet restaurant. She was the best cook there ever was, even being complimented by a relative of her son's wife - a chef at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City. She worked outside of the home in retail after her children were grown. In Escondido, she volunteered at Palomar Hospital, and worked as a caregiver for the elderly. Her beautiful handmade Christmas ornaments will forever be a lasting memory for her loved ones and friends. |
Above all, she was a Lady in every sense of the word. She always looked beautiful, and is an equally beautiful soul. She will be missed by all who knew her. She read her Bible daily and was devoted to our Lord and Savior. We know that He will welcome her. |
