Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Oliver Wolcott; son, Jack; parents, Dr. Samuel A. and Anna Swenson; sisters, Rowena and Janette; and brother, Dr. Sam Swenson, Jr. Margaret leaves her son and daughter-in law, Ray and Cheri; grandsons, Mark, Matthew and John Preston Wolcott; granddaughter, Kimberly Rappuhn; great-grandson, Michael; and great-granddaughter, Gabrielle. The family extends its sincerest appreciation to Margaret's caregiver, Tammy, for making her final year so happy.

She attended Oakland schools in her early years and graduated from the University of Nebraska with a teaching certificate in 1933. She taught primary school in Nebraska, much of it in a one room schoolhose. The owner of "Ask Mr. Foster" travel service saw Margaret entertaining the guests while working one summer at Yellowstone Park. He immediately recruited her to work at his travel service (which was rather prestigious in those days.) She worked with Mr. Foster in Los angeles, New York, Washington, D.C. and San Francisco. While in San Francisco she met her future husband, an attorney at the SEC, Raymond Oliver Wolcott. They were married in Washington, D.C. in 1940 and completed the family with two sons--Ray Jr. and John (Jack) Baldridge. They were married for 56 years at the time of Mr. Wolcott's death.

Margaret later moved to Edina, Minnesota where her husband practiced law in Minneapolis. Between 1967 and 1975. Mr. Wolcott served in the Minnesota Legislature and Margaret was the ultimate helpmate with organizing, campaigning and entertaining. Her family and friends were extremely important to her and all remember the many loving kindnesses she offered. The Wolcotts reitred to Escondido, CA in 1978. Margaret adored playing bridge with friends and was an expert on antique Haviland china. She was a lifelong member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority and Eastern Star. She was also a former member of the Assistance League of Escondido and the Panhellenic Association.
