She is survived by her daughter, Susan Hamilton of Mt. View, CA; daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Richard Brown of Oklahoma City, OK; son, Richard Hamilton of Encinitas, CA; duaghter and son-in-law, Carol and Scott Baldwin of Killingworth, Conn.; anad grandaughters, Miss Elizabeth Brown, 26, and Robin Baldwin, 11. |
She was born in New York City. Maud lived in NYC., West Virginia, and later, Los Angeles, El Centro and Escondido, CA. |
She graduated Magna Cum Laude, with a MFA Degree from University of Southern CA. She moved to Escondido in 1962, where she lived with husband, Rex C. Hamilton and their four children. |
Maud became a silversmith, artist, and a teacher. She loved books, history, gardening, theater and world travel. She was past president of the American Association of University Women in Escondido, and with Rex, contributed much to the early Patio Playhouse and other school and community organizations. She found great joy in life. Her loving family and friends will miss her. Maud was a wonderful person, an inspiration, and long time friend to so many. |
